The South Texas Fall Championships is a multi-stage tournament that is open to teams playing in Division II and Division III with play beginning at the local level through the local South Texas Member Association’s fall league. The purpose of this event is to provide preeminent soccer programs of various levels to participate against teams all across the state of Texas

The upkeep of fields during the course of a tournament is one of the many jobs that tends to go unnoticed when done correctly. However, when trash levels are not taken care of or concession stands are not fully in stock, this can frustrate many attendees. At the STYSA State Fall Champion, my job was to ensure the this did not happen. This prevented any complaints from the attendees about the competence of the tournament. Also, I was tasked with make sure the referees were happy and hydrated. It is these little details attendees tend to overlook yet are critical to the overall success of the tournament. Through this event, I learned the importance of the overlooked details. It is in these areas an event goes from good to great, which can have an affect on the attendee's satisfaction.
