Hospitality room worker & social media​

Maintained up keep of the coaches' hospitality room by stocking food and drinks, as well as filmed, photographed and posted cheer and dance teams' performances on the official Cheer America's social media platforms.

Cheer America is the second multi-day national championship in Texas with on-time competitions, organized warm-up areas, amazing venues, stocked coach hospitality rooms and quality prizes.  The purpose of this event, and other Cheer America competitions, is to provide quality cheer and dance competition championships with the highest level of customer service and to allow athletes to compete agains the best teams in the region and state.

 

This event enlightened me to the difficulties of trying to please everyone. While not everyone will be completely satisfied, it is important to accommodate the best you can.  It is critical to keep an open form of communication with workers and volunteers, so questions from attendees can be answered appropriately. This can include posted hours of the coaches' hospitality room and posted times of when meals will arrive. Through this event I learned how to manage expectations of the attendees, as well as how to effectively live stream teams and performance. I had the opportunity to be able to sharpen my videography and photography skills, while being able practice my caption copy. I learned how to go with my instincts and not over analyze content.
